41. Where is the grand final of the France Poker Series?

This was the largest ever prize pool = $3,656,600 with the largest ever field of players = 18,283 of the Pokerstars Sunday Million with a buy-in of $215 NL Holdem.
With this amount the top 5 players would get six-figures prizes and the number one could get $365,670.77. I say… That must be a good daily salary anywhere in the world

When the table come down to 6 players they decided to start a discussion on how could they split the pot. Team PokerStars Pro Ivan Demidov was the host of the final table and supported during the discussion. With $30,000 set aside for the eventual winner the payouts were defined like this:

Zadman5311 (44,532,600 in chips) = $252,662.86
m8675309a (30,384,279 in chips) = $200,844.74
Guldlemmen4 (23,099,863 in chips) = $177,650.76

From that moment on the action continued with very good poker demonstrated by these players and end up with the following final hand:

m8675309a pushed all-in for 7,769,952 holding [Qd] [Tc], and Zadman5311 called quickly with [As] [4h]. The board came [7h] [2d] [8s] [2h] [Jh], and the ace kicker worked to eliminate m8675309a in second place.

Zadman5311 was the winner of the biggest $215 Pokerstars Sunday Million in history, claiming tournament title with a nice paycheck of $282,662.86!!!

I have been playing some poker lately and the more I play the more I have the feeling that poker online is fixed / rigged! Let me tell you why:

1 - The player with most chips/money is 99% favourite in a all-in situation even if you have a pair of aces and made trips on the flop! And this makes even more sense if you think that a poker room makes money on the rake that they charge on each hand played. So the more money in the pot the more they make and of course they have all interest in keeping the players that play full stack and on higher limits happy all the time!

2 – Connected with this one then of course you see a lot more AA against KK online than you would ever see playing live. They do this to make sure that the players will commit all their money to the pot and they get the maximum amount of rake.

3 – The same is valid for tournaments, typically if there is a guy leading the table with more than 2 times the average chips on the table then is almost certain that we will get that impossible card on the river to win with a straight or some kind of impossible hand.

From my own experience and knowing this I have decided to adjust my poker game when I play online and of course when Im on top I make sure that I will extract as much money/chips as possible and when Im down I play ultra tight and avoid at all costs a battle with the chip leader.

Of course that it would be impossible to confirm my theories with any online poker room but hey we can all have our theories and by adjusting my poker game I make sure that I maximize my profits. What about you? What is your experience in terms of feeling that poker online is fixed / rigged?

This is my first post on my site/blog!  First of all I would like to welcome you and wish you a great 2009 full of poker success.

I have been thinking about starting my own site/blog for a long time and now its action time. I love to play poker and I have been playing since 2005. Everything started with a night out with friends to play cards - the selected game – poker holdem. From there to start wanting to learn more about the game and findings ways to play online without having to put my money in was really quick

Indeed I found several ways to play poker online with real money without having to make deposits or even give away to many personal details. This site/blog will be used to review, suggest and recommend the ways I think are more beneficial.

Why site/blog? Well I couldn’t decide between 1 of them. The site part will have the reviews and my recommendations to the best options available to play poker online for free and the blog I will use to create an opportunity for my readers to know me better, talk about anything and everything in the world of poker and of course to follow my amateur poker career!

As you can see (if you read this during the next days) I have decided to release the site/blog before its finished. My next days will be devoted to make the site ready to the official release – that is submit the site to google!
